Soula Homatidis, Ph.D., C. Psych.
Psychologist
Dr. Soula Homatidis has a range of clinical experiences with children, adolescents and adults. She has worked extensively with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, intellectual disability, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dual diagnoses, neglect, behavioural challenges, and emotional dysregulation.
During her distinguished career, Dr. Homatidis has held various leadership appointments. Most recently, she was the Chief Psychologist at the York Catholic District School Board, and prior to that she was the psychologist on the school board’s ASD Team. Previous appointments included Clinical Psychologist at the dual diagnosis program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Clinical Director at Kerry’s Place Autism Services, and Clinician/Researcher in the Children and Family Studies Centre at the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry (currently CAMH). She has also taught seminars to the University of Toronto psychiatry residents and to graduate students in pediatric dentistry. Since 2002, she has been Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto.
Dr. Homatidis has engaged in psychological and psychopharmacological research which was financially supported by the Ontario Mental Health Foundation, the Medical Research Council of Canada, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. The research findings have been disseminated in over 50 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and at scientific conferences.
